Dortmund/Germany, 17. January 2017. As of now, tde trans data elektronik GmbH is offering tML fibre-optic modules with full dust and laser protection with the same high packing density as before: During the plugging process, integrated shutters open automatically through a special mechanism and close again after the removal of the connector. As the shutters seal the ports dust-tight, external dust caps are no longer necessary. At the same time, the shutters protect the eyes from harmful laser beams. In contrast to other products available on the market, which only offer plastic shutters, tde couplings are equipped with shutters made of metal. In conjunction with Fault Finders, the shutters let harmless light beams pass through and make ports belonging together visible. tde tML fibre-optic modules with self-closing shutters are available for LC connector types of the product lines tML-Standard, tML Xtended and tML 24.
Dortmund, 09th October 2016. tde – trans data elektronik GmbH is celebrating its 25th company anniversary: the network specialist has been developing and manufacturing scalable cabling systems for maximum packing density since 1991. Renowned companies and institutions from areas such as datacom, telecom, industry, medical and defence, including the nuclear research centre CERN, have trusted in the expertise of the market leader in MPO multi-fibre technology for years. The company’s extremely high-quality product portfolio includes a range of copper and fibre optic cable products, matching connection and splicing systems as well as Plug & Play compatible system solutions for development, installation and service. tde exclusively produces in Germany and owns one of the most modern fibre optic cable assembly facilities in Europe. The company is active in standardization committees and the international committee CENELEC and also supports the ‘European Code of Conduct’ for energy efficiency in data centres. Recently, tde used the occasion of its 25th anniversary to move into its new sales office in Dortmund, which has been renovated to adhere to the state-of-the-art criteria of energy efficiency.
Dortmund/Germany, 13. September 2016. tde - trans data elektronik expands its tMD Portfolio: The network expert now offers 48 fibre Micro Distribution Cables consisting of 4 tubes with 12 fibres each. With a diameter of only 7.5 mm, the cables are much thinner and more flexible than conventional constructions and possess a significantly limited cable volume. As a result cable trays and cabinets can be unburdened. Technicians get the ability to handle the cables easier and to install them quickly and comfortable per plug-and-play. Therefore the new cable can be used in all installations where preterminated Breakout or Universal Cables have been applied until now. Especially for the new tMD Cable tde has designed very small fan-out units, which are now offered for MPO connectors with 12, 24 or 48 fibre cables as well as for LC-HD-Uniboot connectors. The cables are available as multi-mode in the category OM4 and soon also as single-mode.
Dortmund/Germany, 12. April 2016. With the tDF tde distribution frame solution tde – trans data elektronik presents a new central fibre distribution frame. The modular solution can be especially used with carriers in the central office and ensures highest packing density within the smallest space. Up to 4032 fibres can be terminated with LC connectors on 46 height units. During development, tde paid particular attention to user-friendly installation: The patented splice modules can all be fitted from the front. Since the tDF is compatible with the modular plug-and-play cabling system tML, network technicians can also install MPO/MTP modules in the same sub rack unit. Customers can now order the modular and highly flexible tDF rack system completely pre-assembled and tailored to their needs.

Dortmund/Germany, 20 October 2015. tde has expanded its successful tML system: With the new tML breakout module, the chassis of the switches and routers can be used more efficiently, with an increased number of ports and a higher packing density. Instead of line-cards with four or ten SFP transceivers, network technicians can now install line-cards for 40 or 100G transceivers. In combination with the tML breakout module, the incoming data rate can be split into 4 x 10G or 10 x 10G, enabling a fourfold or even tenfold increase. tde is the only manufacturer to use MPO connectors that are integrated at the front instead of traditional rear-mounted MPO connectors. The connectors can be quickly tethered directly from the front and enable structured patching. The tML breakout module is suited for installation in a tML Rack Mount Enclosure with one height unit und works in conjunction with the tML HD patch cable.

Dortmund/Germany, 15 June 2015. With its new tMD – tde Micro Distribution Cable the network specialist tde now offers a viable alternative to conventional breakout cables: The cables are extremely thin and highly flexible. The 12 fibre cables have a diameter of only 3 mm and the 24 fibre cables have a diameter of 3.6 mm. Their limited cable volume not only unburdens cable runs and cable cabinets but also ensures comfortable and fast cable installation. This makes the tMD especially suitable for vertical cabling in buildings and for the cabling of main distribution frames in carrier environments. Moreover, the tMD facilitates cabinet-to-cabinet cabling or the direct connection of active components in data centres. Due to their classic loose tube design the tMD cables are excellent value for money: Especially the longer versions are significantly cheaper than conventional breakout cables.
